Douglas A. Kass, also known as Doug, is a Founder and President of Seabreeze Partners Management, Inc. Mr. Kass served as Portfolio Manager and Principal at Demours Capital Management, LLC From 2003 to 2004. He was a General Partner at Seabreeze Partners L.P From 2001 to 2004. He served as a General Partner at Kass Partners, LLC from 1997 to 2003. From 1995 to 1996, he served as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Omega Advisors. He was an Executive Senior Vice President and Director of Institutional Equities at JW Charles/CSG from 1993 to 1995 and First Albany, from 1991 to 1993. During 1984, he was a General Partner at Jakobson Kass Partners LP. From 1978 to 1983, Mr. Kass was a General Partner at Glickenhaus & Co. He was a Vice President, Analyst, and Economist at Putnam Management from 1974 to 1978. He started investment career as a Housing Analyst at Kidder, Peabody in 1972. He has been a Director at Empire Resources Inc., since July 2011. He co-authored “Citibank: The Ralph Nader Report” with Ralph Nader and the Center for the Study of Responsive Law. He is the principal contributor to TheStreet.com’s Street Insight and has lectured on short selling at Yale University’s Graduate School of Management and at the New School of Social Research. He received an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School in 1972 and a bachelor's degree from Alfred University.
