Ms. Healy has extensive bipartisan government experience. She worked for Republican Senator Mac Mathias. Later, she ran the Senate Democratic Policy Committee for then Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell of Maine. In between these two stints, she ran the Washington office for the state of Maryland, a job that in effect made her the state's chief advocate in Congress. Ms. Healy also worked in the Clinton administration, where she worked at the Department of Labor as liaison to the Congress and the White House on health care reform. She also was deputy executive director of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Prior to forming Healy Strategies, she served as Vice-President for Government Affairs for Teach For America. Ms. Healy is Chairman of Board of the University of Maryland Center for Politics and Citizenshiip and is a frequent guest lecturer at the University. Healy Strategies is a government affairs consulting firm that will help organizations promote their agenda on Capitol Hill and within the executive branch.
