Former Co-Chairman, Disney Media Networks & President ESPN; resigned December 18 2017

ESPN president John Skipper resigned on Monday December 18 2017, citing a substance addiction. Skipper joined ESPN in 1997. The news comes just weeks after his contract was renewed by Disney, ESPN's parent company. Skipper, 61, joined ESPN in 1997 as senior vice president and general manager of ESPN The Magazine. He was named to his current job on Jan. 1, 2012.
