Julie Dammann

Julie Dammann joined Ogilvy Government Relations after a 25-year career on Capitol Hill, most recently as Chief of Staff to Senator Christopher S. Bond (R-MO) from 1997-2005. Ms. Dammann was Senator Bond's primary contact for Senate and House Leadership staff, Administration officials, White House staff and key Committee staff. Ms. Dammann began her career with Senator Bond in 1987 as his Legislative Director. Previously, she was legislative assistant for Senator Rudy Boschwitz (R-MN) handling budget, transportation, environment and agricultural issues. Ms. Dammann brings extensive knowledge of transportation, environment, Treasury and housing polices-as well as budget, tax issues and appropriations experience-to Ogilvy Government Relations. She served as primary advisor to Senator Bond for his Appropriations committee work, while also working on policy issues related to Senator Bond's service as chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on the Environment and Public Works Committee. Throughout her career, Ms. Dammann played a vital role in the passage of major pieces of legislation. Examples include: The Federal Highway Reauthorization Bill of 1992, 1998 and, most recently, in 2005; the 1987 Farm Credit Act; the 1991 Clean Air Act Amendments; the 1992 Family Medical Leave Act; and the 2002 Help America Vote Act. Ms. Dammann earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
