Allison Kassir

Allison Kassir is a government relations advisor in King & Spalding’s Washington, D.C., office. As a non-lawyer professional in the Government Advocacy and Public Policy Practice Group, she represents clients before Congress and the Executive Branch on a variety of matters related to health care, homeland security, education, immigration, and trade. Ms. Kassir was part of the King & Spalding team that represented the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games before the federal government. Ms. Kassir also works as part of the firm’s congressional investigations practice to represent clients before House and Senate Committees, as well as the Government Accountability Office. Prior to joining King & Spalding, Ms. Kassir served in a variety of positions on Capitol Hill. She served as a senior legislative advisor to Congressman Paul McHale (D-PA), handling domestic issues and science policy. She came to Representative McHale's office from the Pentagon, where she had worked in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Les Aspin. Prior to her experience at the Pentagon, Ms. Kassir had worked for then-Chairman Aspin for several years as a part of the House Armed Services Committee Member Services Team. This Team was formed to serve as a liaison between Chairman Aspin and other House Members, as well as to advance Chairman Aspin's policy goals. Ms. Kassir received a B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University in 1990.
