Ken Goulet is president and CEO of WellPoint’s Commercial Business Unit, which includes local group customers (small and large group), National Accounts, UniCare, and Specialty Products (including dental, vision, life, disability, workers’ compensation, employee assistance programs and behavioral health). In his previous role, Mr. Goulet was president and CEO of the National Accounts Strategic Business Unit (SBU) for WellPoint, Inc. The National Accounts SBU serves WellPoint’s largest, Blue multi-state employers, who represent a growing share of the company’s membership. He was also responsible for managing the company’s consumer-driven health care business including Lumenos, a leader in the development of innovative, consumer-driven products. Prior to his appointment as president and CEO for Anthem National Accounts, Mr. Goulet served as senior vice president of Sales and Account Management and Chief Marketing Officer for the National Account team. In this capacity, Mr. Goulet was responsible for sales, retention and profitability for National Accounts, as well as for developing marketing strategies focused on increasing National Account market share. Mr. Goulet has more than 26 years of health insurance industry experience in management, sales, operations, strategy and plan execution. Before joining the company, Mr. Goulet spent 23 years at CIGNA Corporation. During his time at CIGNA, Goulet held a number of Management, Sales and Operational positions. Mr. Goulet received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
