Neal A Shear

Mr. Neal A. Shear serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Higgs Capital Management. Mr. Shear served as Global Head of Securities of UBS Investment Bank and UBS AG from January 2010 to March 16, 2011. He joined UBS on January 25, 2010. He served as Head of Commodities Trading of Apollo Global Management, LLC since May 2008 and a Partner from May 2008 to December 2009. He served as Head of Trading of Morgan Stanley until March 2008. He served as Global Head of Fixed Income Division of Morgan Stanley since March 2005 and served as its Head of Commodities Business and Trading. Mr. Shear also served as Co-Head of Institutional Sales and Trading of Morgan Stanley since August 2005. He was responsible for the Institutional Equities and Fixed Income divisions, created to enhance the integration of those businesses at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Shear served as Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income of Morgan Stanley and also served as its Managing Director in charge of worldwide commodity trading. He started his career in trading in 1979 at J Aron and Co. He served as Chairman of Industry-Leading Commodities Business of Morgan Stanley since December 2007. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He served as a Director of Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. Mr. Shear received a B.S from the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business Management in 1976 and a M.B.A. from Cornell University, Johnson School of Business in 1978.
