As Vice-President and General Counsel, Eric provides legal and business counsel to The Duchossois Group, Inc., a privately held, family-owned company with investments in the consumer products, technology and service sector. Eric was previously a partner at the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery and was a key part of their commercial finance practice group. He serves on the board of directors for Family Focus (Englewood)-a non-profit whose mission is to promote the well-being of children by supporting and strengthening their families, and the Advocate Illinois Masonic Charitable Foundation. Eric is a member of the Hearing Board for the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois and an active member of the American Bar Association. He is a graduate Fellow of Leadership of Greater Chicago and was selected as a member of Mayor Daley's 21st Century Leadership Council. Eric earned a B.A. in History at the University of Michigan in 1994 and his Juris Doctor at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1998. He is a member of the 2009 class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.
