Susan Hassan is a Partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP. She has a diverse corporate practice with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance and strategic advice matters. She advises Fortune 500, middle-market and emerging companies on corporate, capital markets and strategic matters and in a variety of transactions, including private equity transactions, public and private acquisitions and dispositions, strategic alliances, public and private securities offerings and venture capital financings. She has substantial experience in advising family-controlled companies and has worked extensively in the financial services, energy, technology and health care industries. Susie repeatedly has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA; America's Leading Lawyers for Business. She was named one of Investment Dealers' Digest's "40 Under 40" and one of Chicago's "40 Under 40" by Crain's Chicago Business. She regularly serves as a guest lecturer on mergers and acquisitions at Harvard Law School. Susie serves on the Boards of Directors of The Clean Energy Trust and The Women's Sports Foundation. She serves on the firm's Hiring Committee. She received her undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. In 2009, Susie was named a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
