Brad Schwartz, chief executive officer of the Morgridge Institute for Research, is an expert in blood coagulation and bleeding disorders. He most recently served as a professor at the UW–Madison School of Medicine and Public Health and the director of research education and career development at the university’s Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR). Schwartz served 12 years as dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Schwartz works closely with the executive leadership of the Institute to evaluate joint efforts in research, education and outreach to the community. He and Associate Executive Director James Dahlberg also have established a scientific leadership team to set the broad research agenda for the Institute.
