Virgis W Colbert

VIRGIS W. COLBERT Retired Executive Vice President, Miller Brewing Company (brewer) from 1997 to December 2005. Mr. Colbert joined Miller Brewing in 1979 and served as Senior Vice President-Worldwide Operations from 1995 to 1997 and as Vice President Operations from 1993 to 1995. He became a director of Sara Lee in January 2006. Mr. Colbert serves as a director of Lorillard, Inc., The Manitowoc Company, Inc., Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. and The Stanley Works. Virgis Colbert is the former Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations of Miller Brewing Company. Among his many corporate and community board commitments are Lorillard Tobacco (where he is Lead Director), STAG Industries, the National Center for Human Rights, and the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research. He also is the former Chairman and current Chairman Emeritus of Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and he is a former Chairman of the Board for Fisk University.
