Christine J Chao

Christine Chao, the fourth daughter of Ruth and James, graduated from Columbia Law School. She was the first of the daughters to be born in the United States after the family relocated to America. In her career as a lawyer, Christine has garnered extensive corporate and commercial law experience in senior legal positions for three Fortune 100 companies in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. She is currently General Counsel of the Foremost Group. Christine serves as a trustee for her alma mater, Colgate University, Brunswick School, and LitWorld, an organization devoted to promoting global literacy. She and husband Jos Shaver have established the Ruth Mulan Chu Chao scholarship at Colgate University and have two sons, Ben and Tyler.
