He has appeared on CNBC, The Nightly Business Report (PBS) and Bloomberg. Derwood is a member of the Analysts Club (N.Y.C.), the New York Society of Security Analysts, and the Mont Pelerin Society. He is president of the Chase Foundation of Virginia, a trustee of the Reason Foundation and the Fraser Institute, and a former governor of the Investment Counsel Association of America.
