He has a thorough understanding of how to effectively utilize research in campaigns, integrate Web, advertising and design, and communicate complex, technical information to create awareness or affect change. Tucker manages several of HPS' largest client accounts pertaining to domestic and international financial regulation. Among the sectors Tucker focuses on: banking, credit ratings, insurance, and structured finance. Before joining HPS, Tucker directed communications for the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission – established by Congress to examine the causes of the financial and economic crisis. In that role, he served as the day-to-day spokesperson for the Commission, developed the overall communications strategy, and prepared commissioners for press conferences and hearings. Tucker also handled the release of the Commission’s final report, which became a best seller shortly after its release. Prior to joining the Commission, Tucker served as a senior supervisor at Edelman public relations. He provided communications counsel to clients including JPMorgan Chase, Yale University, Astra Zeneca, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the American College of Radiology. Tucker helped clients manage crisis situations, he planned and executed a multi-million dollar branding campaign, developed key advocacy relationships around a national consumer product campaign, designed a consumer safety program, and managed a national disease awareness tour featuring a marathon runner who ran 63 marathons on 63 days. Tucker spent the first six years of his career at Lipman Hearne, a public relations firm that specializes in serving nonprofit organizations. While there Tucker provided counsel for organizations including The MacArthur Foundation, The Brookings Institution, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and The Aspen Institute. Tucker graduated from Auburn University with a degree in political science and was a member of the men’s golf team. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Kate and two daughters Hazel and Charlotte.
