During Joseph R. Wolfinger's thirty year career with the FBI, he was the Assistant Director responsible for management of the FBI Training Division and the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He also was Special Agent in Charge in the Buffalo Field Division, and served as an FBI Inspector, leading inspection teams that audited FBI domestic and international operations. Mr.Wolfinger’s management responsibility as FBI Assistant Director included oversight of training for FBI personnel (new agent and in-service training) and state and local law enforcement personnel (the FBI National Academy and National Executive Institute Programs, two important training programs for state and local police management officials). Mr. Wolfinger served as the FBI’s primary liaison to state and local police agencies and professional organizations. Mr. Wolfinger handled training and mobile video on the Prince George's County Police Department Monitor Team. For the past ten years, he has served as executive director of the Major County Sheriffs' Association. Mr. Wolfinger received a BA in Political Science from Randolph–Macon College, a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Police Management.
