Adrienne interned at the White House in ’96 and knew immediately that she wanted to be in politics, Upon graduating, Adrienne moved to DC where she began working in the Clinton administration as the assistant to the head of intergovernmental affairs. She finished out the administration at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Adrienne then moved back to her home state of Arkansas, where she worked for the Arkansas Democratic Party as the communications director. She moved back to DC in 2003 and took a job as communications director for Congressman Mike Ross. During the 2004 election cycle, Adrienne took a leave of absence from Ross’s office to run the re-election campaign for Congressman Nick Lampson (Beaumont/Port Arthur). She then came back to DC and, in the Spring of 2005, took a job as a regional press secretary at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee under the chairmanship of Rahm Emanuel. Democrats took back the House that cycle, and she went to work for freshman Democrat Ron Klein as his Deputy Chief of Staff. In November of 2007 she left to take a position on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, where she managed press operations in fifteen states. She also served as her communications director during the contentious Texas primary and then finished the campaign by co-managing her congressional delegate operation. In July of 2008, after the campaign folded, she took a job as Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (D-CA).
