Chris is a life-long resident of Mississippi and Jones County. He was born in Laurel and was raised in Ellisville. His father, Carlos McDaniel was Recreation Director and a professor at Jones County Junior College for 32 years, until the time of his death in 1999. His mother, Charlotte, was also employed with Jones County Junior College, working as a purchasing agent until her retirement in 1995. His childhood was spent with family in Ellisville, Mississippi, the place he still calls home.
Chris is married to Jill Tullos McDaniel of the Sharon Community. A graduate of West Jones High School, Jones County Junior College, William Carey University and the University of Mississippi, Jill is a professional educator and was employed with Ellisville Elementary School for 10 years, until the birth of their first child, Cambridge, on November 4, 2006. Their second child, Chamberlain, was born on December 5, 2012. A former Miss Mississippi USA, Jilll proudly represented the State of Mississippi in the Miss USA Pageant.
Chris has attended West Ellisville Baptist Church for the past 31 years. He committed his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 13, becoming a Member of West Ellisville Baptist Church in 1984.
Chris attended Ellisville Elementary, South Jones High School and Heidelberg Academy. Chris was an All-conference, All-district, All-area and All-State selection in basketball. He signed a varsity basketball scholarship with Jones County Junior College.
After high school, in 1990, Chris attended Jones County Junior College, graduating in 1992. After graduating from JCJC, he attended and graduated from William Carey College with a Bachelor of Science degree. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) School of Law, where he was declared a Juris Doctor. Chris graduated, with many honors, near the top of his law school class in 1997.
After law school, Chris entered a two - year federal judicial clerkship as a law clerk for the Honorable Charles W. Pickering, Sr., United States District Court Judge, Southern District of Mississippi.

Co-owner of B.C. Properties, LLC, a real estate business located in Laurel (2003-present).
President of Right Side Radio, LLC, a pro-Christian organization dedicated to the advocacy of conservative philosophy and ideals.
