Stephen Sheller is the founder and managing partner of Sheller, PC, one of the largest plaintiff’s personal injury and class action law firms in the eastern United States. The firm focuses primarily on the representation of individuals and classes suffering a diverse range of injuries resulting from medical treatment to defective products and machines to unfair business practices. Sheller, Ludwig & Badey also maintains an active and diverse practice representing labor unions. Mr. Sheller has been in practice since 1963. He maintains a national practice concentrating in areas of medical malpractice, toxic tort, medical device and drug product and complex catastrophic personal injury litigation. He lectures on law in continuing legal education courses on behalf of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Insurance Defense Institute and The American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers. He has chaired and/or presented lectures on breast implants, tobacco litigation and other product litigation at Mealey’s and Andrews Publications legal seminars. Mr. Sheller is the president of the Sheller Family Foundation and has been a cabinet member of the Salvation Army and Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center Fundraising Campaign. He served on the Rendell Transition Team on Boards and Commissioners and as a Board Member of the Cape May Jazz Festival and the Cape May New Jersey State Film Festival. He has also served as a trustee at the Pennsylvania State University and on Advisory Board of the Lyme Disease Association. He currently serves on the Drexel University Board of Trustees and on the Drexel College of Nursing and Health Professions Advisory Council. Mr. Sheller and his wife, Sandy, a Drexel alumna from the College of Nursing and Health Professions, Creative Arts Therapy Program, were honored in 2007 by Salvation Army with the “Others Award” for “Spirit of Service.” In July 2003, Mr. Sheller was honored as a finalist by Trial Lawyers for Public Justice in the organization’s 2003 Trial Lawyer of the Year Award. Mr. Sheller was named a finalist for his work in the Price v. Philip Morris USA case “for discovering the light cigarette fraud and initiating the litigation strategy to remedy the deception.” He holds a BA, JD, and LLB from the University of Pennsylvania.
