Sandra Thompson

Sandra Thompson is currently an immigration attorney, practicing at Catholic Charities pro bono. After an 18-year career at IBM, where she held a variety of positions in sales, marketing, and strategy development, both domestically and internationally, she graduated from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2001. She began her legal career at Fenwick & West LLC as an associate in the international corporate tax practice. In addition to serving on the advisory board of the Center of Gender and Refugee Studies (CGRS) at UC Hastings, Sandi currently serves on two non-profit boards: Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) and Lawyers for America. Recently, Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco named her to their Growth Cabinet. She has also served as a Planning Commissioner for the Town of Woodside from 2007 – 2013. Ms. Thompson was appointed by both Governors Schwarzenegger and Brown to serve on the Board of Directors of the University of California Hastings College of the Law from 2010 - 2015. Sandi and her husband, John W. Thompson, are residents of Woodside, CA and are actively involved in various philanthropic organizations, focusing on education reform and environmental/conservation movements.
