Joseph H. (Joe) Gonyea III is a partner and chief executive officer of Springfield's Timber Products Company, which produces hardwood plywood and deals in transportation, international sales and timberland management. He is also a co-owner and director of SierraPine, Ltd., a manufacturer of composite panel products; and managing partner of Michigan-California Timber Company. Gonyea received his bachelor's degree in commerce from Santa Clara University in 1984, and serves on the university's board of regents. He is on the board of directors of the Oregon Forest Industries Council, is past president of the Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation and past chairman of the California Forestry Association. He served two terms on the UO Athletic Advisory Committee and is a supporter of the UO's Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and Oregon Bach Festival.
