Allyn Ford has held the position of president and CEO of Roseburg Forest Products since 1997, when he took over leadership of the company from his father and company founder, Kenneth Ford. Allyn Ford began his career with RFP in 1968, holding responsibilities in a number of functions, including forest resources, construction, manufacturing and labor relations. Ford served on the Oregon State Board of Forestry from 1975 to 1982, and chaired the Advisory Board for Forestry Intensified Research (FIR) – an organization dedicated to advancing reforestation in Southwestern Oregon. He has served as chairman of the Douglas Timber Operators Steering Committee, the Public Timber Purchasers Group and the National Forestry Association, and as a director for the World Forestry Center. He also participates in organizations including the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, the Umpqua Community Foundation and The Ford Family Foundation. He was appointed to the Oregon State Board of Higher Education in 2009, and recently served as board chairman for Umpqua Bank. Ford received his bachelor's degree in industrial administration from Yale in 1964 and his master’s degree in business administration from Stanford in 1966. Ford and his wife – UO alum Cheryl Ramberg Ford – were the principal donors for the UO's Cheryl Ramberg Ford and Allyn Ford Alumni Center, which opened in 2011.
