Rodolfo Chapa graduated from the University of Oregon in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was originally from Indiana, and earned his law degree in 1985 from the Indiana University School of Law. Chapa joined International Management Group (IMG) after law school and served as vice president of the athletics and fitness division. After two years, he moved to Portland and served four years as president of the furniture company Kiani, U.S.A. He then joined NIKE, Inc., in 1992, and ultimately served as the global vice president for sports marketing and then as vice president of Nike.com. He left in 2001 to found his own investment firm, Quixote Investment. Chapa currently serves on the board of Cogstate and on the U.S.A. Track and Field Foundation’s board of directors. Three of his children have graduated from or are attending the UO.
