Kamran Bokhari is a distinguished scholar and expert in Middle Eastern and South Asian affairs. He has presented research papers in various international academic and policy forums, given briefings to U.S. and Canadian governmental departments, published analytical and theoretical articles related to the geopolitics of the Islamic world and played a fundamental role in shaping the company's knowledge base in the region. He is the author of a forthcoming book on radical, militant Islamist political thought, Voices of Jihad: New Writings on Radical Islam, to be published by I.B. Tauris in 2013. He is the lead co-author of a second book, The Complexity of Political Islam in the Context of Democratization, to be published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2014. He has contributed chapters to a number of co-edited volumes. Bokhari has given thousands of interviews to leading global media outlets including The New York Times, CNBC, The Associated Press, AFP, Reuters, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, The Christian Science Monitor, National Journal, Fox News, NPR, Forbes, San Francisco Chronicle, Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, CBC, CTV, BBC, MSNBC, Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, CNN-Turk, Pakistan's GEO TV, India's Hindustan Times, Xinhua and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. He is also a fellow with the Washington-based Institute for Social Policy and Understanding and a senior consultant to the World Bank. He lives in London and is pursuing a Ph.D. in democracy and Islam at the University of Westminster.
