Mr. Fanjul is vice president of Fanjul Corp. and executive vice president of Florida Crystals Corporation, both headquartered in Palm Beach County. His responsibilities include government relations, corporate communications, land development and real estate investments. Fanjul Corp., parent of the Fanjul group of companies, is a privately held diversified agricultural, real estate, resort and power-generating company with global operations and holdings in North America, the Caribbean and Europe. Florida Crystals Corporation is a leading sugar producer and the first fully integrated cane sugar company in the US; its biomass renewable energy facility, the largest in North America, powers its sugar operations and 60,000 homes. Fanjul Corp. and Florida Crystals are headquartered in Palm Beach County. Prior to joining Fanjul Corp. and Florida Crystals, Mr. Fanjul was a principal at several investment banking firms, including Rhone Group LLC. He currently serves on the boards of Florida Crystals Corporation; American Sugar Refining; Inc.; Central Romana Corporation (Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic); BlueGate Partners, LLC; and the Sugar Association (formerly as chairman); he is also president of the Florida Sugar Cane League. Mr. Fanjul holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from the University of Miami.
