Mark A Vander Ploeg

Mark Vander Ploeg ’74, senior managing director with Evercore Partners in San Francisco, CA. Prior to joining Evercore, Vander Ploeg worked at Merrill Lynch where he served as vice chairman of Investment Banking, co-head of Consumer Industries and head of West Coast Operations. Previously, he also served as a managing director at Salomon Brothers. Vander Ploeg serves on several advisory boards at Stanford University and is on the board of directors of Project Pericles in New York. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago. Vander Ploeg previously served on the Macalester Board of Trustees from May, 1989, to May, 2006. He chaired the board from May, 2000, to May, 2006.
