Edward Powers is a Managing Director of BAML Capital Access Funds Management, LLC ("CAF") where he focuses on capital formation, communication with existing investors, origination and diligencing of investments and managing CAF. He joined Bank of America ("BAC") in 1994 and is based in New York, New York. CAF is an experienced market-based, returns-driven private equity fund-of-funds manager and advisor focused on meeting the targeted mandates of institutional investors. CAF has managed and advised on over $1.1 billion of capital for institutional investors across multiple mandates since 2002. Mr. Powers joined Bank of America in Chicago in 1994 in community development banking, where he originated investments in a variety of community development equity products, including affordable housing and community development financial institutions. In 1999, Mr. Powers was named one of Crain's Chicago Business Top 40 Business Leaders under 40. He currently serves on the Alumni Advisory Council of the Harris School of Public Policy. He holds bachelor's degrees in English and economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA and MA in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. Mr. Powers is a board member of various private equity portfolio funds' advisory boards.
