Charles L. Gurney III (Sam Gurney) became President of Gurney, Becker & Bourne in 2007. He has been in Commercial Real Estate on a full-time basis with the company for over 25 years. His specialty has been in the consulting, site selection, sale and leasing of office and residential properties in the Western New York (WNY) area. Mr. Gurney is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (SIOR), which is a world wide professional real estate organization that has stringent requirements with respect to transactions completed and mandatory education. He is also a member of the Greater Buffalo Board of Real Estate (GBBR), the City of Buffalo Preservation Board and a long-time director of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). He was the recipient of the 2002 New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR) award for the largest transaction in WNY. He also was the winner of the largest lease deal awarded by NASCOR and a consultant to the largest real estate sale in Buffalo in 2003 and runner-up in 2009.
