Previously, Palm was a partner in Sullivan & Cromwell. Prior to joining Sullivan & Cromwell, he served as a law clerk to the Honorably Henry J. Friendly, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and to Justice Lewis F. Powell, Jr., Supreme Court of the United States. Palm received a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and an S.B. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a member of the District of Columbia and New York bar associations. While at Goldman Sachs, Palm has been resident both in its New York and London offices and chaired or been a member of various firm-wide committees, including its Risk, Business Practices, Global Control and Compliance, and Operating Committees. He is the President of the Board of Trustees of the Skowhegan School of Sculpture and Painting and a member of the MIT Department of Economics Visiting Committee, the American Law Institute and the Board of Directors of the Lawyers Alliance for New York.
