Milwaukee tech entrepreneur Andy Nunemaker launched Dynamis Software Corp., a West Allis tech company that makes software for employee benefits agents in the U.S., in 2012 and is the current CEO. In October 2018 the firm was acquired by Applied Systems Inc., a global company based in Illinois that provides automated and cloud-based insurance software. Prior to starting Dynamis, Nunemaker was an executive at GE Healthcare and past CEO of EMSystems, a Milwaukee provider of emergency medical services software that was sold in 2010. Brookfield-based Golden Angels Investors owned a minority stake in Dynamis, which raised just more than $5 million in equity capital between 2013 and 2017. Aside from his tech company, Nunemaker is known as one of the most active Milwaukee-area business executives in community initiatives. Currently, he is board chair of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and is spearheading efforts to raise $120 million to fund the MSO's acquisition and renovation of the historic Warner Grand Theatre in downtown Milwaukee. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Valparaiso University ‘91 (where he was given the 2006 Outstanding Young Alumnus Award), a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech University and an MBA from Harvard that he earned while serving as class president.
