Mack Pogue died in May 2024. In May 2024 Children's HealthSM and UT Southwestern Medical Center announced a gift of $100 million from the Jean and Mack Pogue family in support of the $5 billion transformative new Dallas pediatric campus. Mack Pogue was born on May 18, 1934 in Sulphur Springs, TX. Mack attended Tyler Junior College prior to serving 21 months in the US Army in Korea between 1955 and 1957, and he earned his degree from Texas Tech University in 1959. On February 4, 1960, Mack married his high school sweetheart, the former Jean McMullan. He met his mentor, Trammell Crow, in 1965. Mack formed Lincoln Property Company iwith Trammell as his first partner. Mack and Jean had three sons - Blake, Brent (who predeceased him) and Blair. Mack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Pogue; his brother Jack Pogue; his sons Blake (Anne) Pogue and Blair (Cristin) Pogue; and his grandchildren: Brittney McKee (Matt) and great grandson Hudson, Mack Pogue, Bryson Pogue, Bailey Pogue, Jake Pogue, Tucker Pogue, Reagan Pogue, Ethan Pogue, and Riley Pogue.
