Dan is co-executive chairman of Winston & Strawn and one of the most distinguished and sought-after trial lawyers in the United States. He has tried more than 100 jury cases involving a wide variety of claims and been named a fellow of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers. Dan’s government experience includes serving as Assistant U.S. Attorney, Chief of Special Prosecutions Division, U.S. Attorney’s Office, U.S. Department of Justice, 1970–1976; U.S. Attorney, Northern District of Illinois, 1981–1985. Dan has pledged significant gifts to his alma maters of Loyola University Chicago School of Law and Western Illinois University, where he established the Dan and Laura Webb Endowed Professorship in Political Science and the Dan and Laura Webb Pre-Law Scholarship Fund.
