Mr. Goldsmith was elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Apria in February 2005, with his appointment becoming effective immediately following the 2005 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. A private investor since 2004, Mr. Goldsmith previously served as Managing Director of RS Investment Management, an investment management firm, from 1999 to 2003. He served as Managing Director of Robertson, Stephens Investment Management, an investment management firm, from 1998 to 1999. Mr. Goldsmith is also a Director of Endocare, Inc.
