Douglas S. Manya is a Vice President with Booz Allen Hamilton in the firm’s McLean office and serves as the firm’s Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. His responsibilities as Deputy General Counsel include counseling management, managing attorneys, and other professionals in the areas of Government Contracts, and Ethics and Compliance, and Law Department management functions. As Corporate Secretary, his responsibilities include securities law compliance corporate governance, and support for the firm’s Board of Directors. Mr. Manya is a member of the firm’s Disclosure Committee, and serves as legal advisor to Booz Allen’s Ethics and Compliance Committee, Special Risk Review Committee, and Partnership committee. Mr. Manya has served as Director of Government Contracts Compliance for Honeywell International and General Counsel of its subsidiary company, Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. Prior to entering private law practice Mr. Manya served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Claude M. Hilton, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division. He was previously an attorney with Howrey & Simon LLP’s Government Contracts practice group, where he counseled, and litigated matters for large aerospace and defense contractors. Mr. Manya received a B.A. degree in International Relations from the College of William & Mary and an M.A. in International Affairs from the American University. He graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Syracuse Law Review. He is admitted to the bar in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
