Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Vice President Donald Pressley is General Manager and market lead for the firm’s engagements in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region. Mr. Pressley’s primary area of expertise is on assisting other governments to expand and improve their own capacities to meet today’s global challenges and to modernize their capabilities. He brings over 35 years of experience in providing such services to governments around the world. Mr. Pressley has been with Booz Allen for over 10 years, leading assignments across the globe. In the Middle East, he has led teams in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Oman, and Egypt. He has assisted with institutional building, economic development and diversification, business planning technology enhancement and other programs designed to improve national capability. Now based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Mr. Pressley will continue to focus on bringing Booz Allen’s breadth and depth of experience to public and private sector clients across the MENA region. Before joining Booz Allen in 2001, Mr. Pressley was a Senior Foreign Service officer at the US Agency for International Development (USAID). His career included assignments as Mission Director in Poland, Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia, and acting Administrator. His responsibilities included close interaction with the Department of State, National Security Council, and US Congress in developing and implementing foreign assistance policies and programs. He was also the key architect of the design of the programs of assistance to Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia. He developed the strategic framework governing all strategies for the 27 countries under his purview, and led the creation of the Europe and Eurasia Bureau’s development strategy, including the design of the Enterprise Funds that invest in private business across the region. Mr. Pressley has broadened his consulting experience by serving on the board of the Society for International Development, serving on the board of the Business Civic Leadership Center, advisor to the World Bank Evaluation Department, and teaching at the MSFS program of Georgetown University. Mr. Pressley has a B.A. degree from the University of South Carolina and a J.D. degree from Georgetown University.
