Matt Calderone is a Senior Vice President based out of the Booz Allen’s Dulles office. He leads a portfolio of strategic projects for the firm full-time, including the firm-wide Vision 2020 effort. Previously, Mr. Calderone led the firm’s Strategy & Organization (S&O) work in the security market, supporting members of the Intelligence Community on projects involving: Mission strategy Organization design and standup Operational efficiency and effectiveness Human capital Learning solutions Strategic communications Transformation and change management Mr. Calderone has spent the bulk of his career partnering with senior executives in all sectors to address their most pressing business challenges. He has led dozens of strategy and transformation efforts—ranging from designing and standing up a major new center in the Intelligence Community to helping a Fortune 100 retailer realize over $150 million in efficiency improvements. Through these experiences, he has gained a deep appreciation for when and how to apply corporate best practices to the business of government (and vice versa) and how to work with clients to drive lasting change. Mr. Calderone has published several articles on organization topics, including change management, organization design, decision rights, and best practice transfer. Previously, Mr. Calderone worked for Booz Allen Hamilton’s commercial business, where he focused on large-scale transformation, and for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he was a core member of BCG’s Retail and Organization practices. He holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.
