As a Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Executive Advisor, William Trahant leads the Learning capability within the firm’s Human Capital, Learning, and Strategic Communications Center of Excellence. He also oversees the firm’s human capital and learning business within the civil market. Mr. Trahant has more than 30 years of consulting experience in both the private and public sectors, and has extensive experience managing work that supports organization transformation, organization assessment and analysis, organization change, and leadership development. His key skills include: Organization assessment and analysis Organization transformation Leadership development Strategic communications Learning strategies Performance management Prior to joining Booz Allen in 2009, Mr. Trahant was national leader of government consulting services at Watson Wyatt Worldwide. He also served as vice president and partner at IBM’s public sector division and as partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ strategic change division. Mr. Trahant has authored or co-authored numerous books and articles that have appeared in publications such as The Public Manager, Federal Times, and Homeland Defense Journal on subjects that include human capital management, change management, and performance management. In addition, he served as an adjunct professor of business management at the University of Michigan. He earned a Master of Public Administration degree from American University and a B.A. in English and psychology from Mount Carmel College.
