Booz Allen Hamilton Executive Vice President Nancy Hardwick is a leader in the firm’s civil health business. An expert in strategy and organization, she previously supported clients, such as the Internal Revenue Service, National Science Foundation (NSF), the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Energy, Treasury, Labor, and Housing and Urban Development, as well as others. She leads the firm’s human capital and learning capability. Previously she led the firm’s Centers of Excellence in Strategy and Change and later, Human Capital, Learning and Strategic Communications. Since joining Booz Allen in 1996, she has been involved in numerous high-profile engagements, including the modernization of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), one of the largest enterprise transformations of its kind at a federal agency. The effort included a comprehensive restructuring of the entire agency that impacted all employees and functional and operating units. Ms. Hardwick also led the stand-up and operational support for a $4.7 billion grants program, as well as numerous engagements with the Departments of Energy and Justice. She served as an instructor at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business teaching change management for the Change Management Advanced Practitioner program. In recognition of the client service she and her team provided to the IRS and NSF, she is a two-time recipient of the Professional Excellence Award, Booz Allen’s highest honor. In addition, she received the IRS Commissioner’s Award. Ms. Hardwick serves on the Board of Directors of Strathmore Hall Foundation, which provides arts programming and Adventist Healthcare, an integrated healthcare provider with multiple acute care and specialty hospitals, mental health services and home health agencies. She has a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Carolina, where she graduated magna cum laude.
