Sam Strickland is a Booz Allen Hamilton Executive Vice President and is the firm’s Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. He was the officer-in-charge of Booz Allen’s successful initial public offering in November 2010, and previously led the major investment in the firm by The Carlyle Group, and the separation and spin-off of the firm’s former commercial business. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for managing the capital structure and financial operations of Booz Allen’s $5+ billion enterprise. Mr. Strickland leads Booz Allen’s infrastructure operations, which encompasses acquisitions (including contracts, subcontracts, and pricing), global finance, information services, infrastructure services, people services, and core services (a.k.a. shared services). He advises senior leadership as part of the firm Leadership Team and is a member of the Board of Directors. Since joining Booz Allen in 1996, Mr. Strickland has led infrastructure support, initially for the firm’s largest business sector, and subsequently for the entire business. He became Executive Vice President in 2004 and is a recognized authority on business operations for the professional services industry and infrastructure as a strategic differentiator for corporations. Mr. Strickland has served on the Board of Trustees for the George Mason University Foundation and Inova Health Services, and was a long-time Board member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Capital Hospice. In 2011, he was named public company “CFO of the Year” by the Northern Virginia Technology Council. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Strickland holds a B.A. degree from the College of William and Mary.
