Jack Mayer is a Booz Allen Hamilton Executive Vice President based at the firm’s McLean, Virginia headquarters, where he leads the firm’s business focused on the Office of the Secretary of Defense and defense agencies, the Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the combatant commands. Previously, he led Booz Allen’s Strategy and Organization Team. He is a thought leader recognized for his expertise in: Strategic planning Program planning and budgeting Organizational change and transformation Homeland security Mr. Mayer is a member of the firm's Executive Management Committee, a former member of Booz Allen’s Board of Directors and former Chairman of the Board’s Personnel Committee. He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Homeland Security and Defense Business Council, is a member of the board of the Washington Education and Tennis Foundation, and a former member of the Corporate Advisory Board for the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Prior to joining the firm, he was director of strategic planning and program development at the CNA Corporation. He also served on Capitol Hill, where he was a deputy assistant director at the Congressional Budget Office. Mr. Mayer has been a consultant to the Electronic Industries Association on long-range planning and investment strategies, and he has lectured about and authored articles on topics that include homeland security mission integration, national budget priorities, and the budget process. Mr. Mayer holds graduate degrees in statistics, operations research, and business from Stanford University and Long Island University, and he has an undergraduate degree in engineering from the U.S. Military Academy. He is a graduate of the Senior Executive Program at The Kennedy School at Harvard University
