Jean Eddy is the Senior Vice President for Students and Enrollment at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), a nationally recognized leader in arts and design education, where her responsibilities include oversight and leadership of all student functions outside of the classroom. Previously, Eddy has served as the Senior Vice President for Students and Enrollment at Brandeis University, Vice President for Enrollment Management at Northeastern University and Dean of Student Financial Services at Johnson and Wales University. She has spent her career focused on students and programs that encourage high retention. Eddy has held memberships on the College Board, the National and Eastern Associations of Student Financial Aid Administrators, and the National Association for College Admission Counseling. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of American Student Assistance, she has served on Advisory Boards for The Education Resources Institute, Inc. and the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority. She has served as president of both the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Associations of Student Financial Aid administrators. Jean is a frequent presenter for issues regarding the effective implementation of student information systems. In addition to her responsibilities at RISD, Jean also is a consultant to higher education institutions on enrollment, recruitment, and financial aid issues. She holds degrees in Public Administration and Computer Science.
