Bruce A Akin

Bruce Akin was named vice president, operations strategy and support in 2007. He served as vice president, administrative services from 2001 to 2007. Akin joined Westar Energy in 1987 and has served in various finance and accounting positions. He has held directorships in human resources, corporate development and internal audit. He received his bachelor of business administration, accounting, and master of business administration degrees from Washburn University. He is a graduate of Leadership Greater Topeka and serves on the CASA advisory board and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Kansas board.
