John Kingston, III joined AMG in 1999 and currently serves as Vice Chairman and General Counsel; in that capacity, Mr. Kingston is responsible for AMG legal, regulatory, compliance and corporate governance functions, as well as oversight of AMG’s risk management and controls. Prior to joining AMG, Mr. Kingston served as a senior counsel to Miller Anderson & Sherrerd, a division of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, and was an attorney at Ropes & Gray, focusing on corporate and securities laws issues, with a particular focus on the investment management industry. Mr. Kingston is the founder and Chairman of the Board of the Sword and Spoon Foundation and SixSeeds, and in addition to The Veritas Forum, also serves on the boards of the Pioneer Institute, Guard Support of Massachusetts, and the National Council of the American Enterprise Institute. Mr. Kingston received a B.S. Econ and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
