Walter A Dods Jr

Walter Dods became chairman of the board of Matson, Inc. upon separation from Alexander & Baldwin in June of 2012. Previously, he was the chairman of the board of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. and had served as lead independent director since 2006 and as a director of Alexander & Baldwin since 1989. He has more than three decades of international and corporate experience at the highest levels of executive leadership for First Hawaiian Bank and BancWest Corporation, and also currently serves as a Director of First Hawaiian Bank and Hawaiian Telcom Holdco, Inc., as well as a member of numerous other profit and non-profit boards. Dods received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Hawaii
