Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg, icon and EGOT winner, got the nickname “Whoopi” doing standup comedy in the 1970s (yes, from frequent flatulence). She then moved from New York to California, joined a theater troupe and began her illustrious TV and film acting career. Goldberg is also an accomplished writer and has even been on Broadway (for which she won her Grammy). Goldberg serves as The View’s moderator, a role she took on in 2007 when she replaced Rosie O’Donnell. Goldberg’s net worth sits at $60 million, accumulated from her decades in award-winning movies such as Sister Act, The Color Purple and Ghost. Although she starred in those films early on in her career, and probably wasn’t paid much by Hollywood standards, she made somewhere between $7 million-$12 million for Sister Act 2. On The View, her 2016 salary was estimated to be in the $5 million-$6 million range. Today, some sources place it at $8 million.
