Manuel Medina-Mora

Medina-Mora, 62, will continue to oversee global consumer banking and Mexico, Medina-Mora will continue in his role as the chief of Citigroup’s consumer-banking businesses, which is the lender’s biggest single profit center. Profit at the division gained 7 percent to $6.34 billion for the nine months through the end of September. Pandit promoted Medina-Mora at least twice during his tenure, helping him rise to become head of global consumer banking in November 2011. Medina-Mora became head of Citigroup’s Latin American businesses in 2004, when the firm was struggling to recover from more than $2 billion in losses stemming from Argentina’s 2001 debt default.
