David Venturella has more than 26 years experience in federal law enforcement operations and business development. His expertise includes strategic planning, organizational management, project development and program execution. Mr. Venturella joined The GEO Group, Inc. (GEO), in 2012 as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development. In 2014, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Business Development. Mr. Venturella is responsible for leading GEO’s business and proposal development efforts. Prior to joining GEO, Mr. Venturella served in various leadership positions including as the Director for the Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). In addition to his 22-year career with ICE, Mr. Venturella has worked in the private sector in business development and strategic planning. He served as Vice President of the Homeland Security Business Unit for USIS in Falls Church, Virginia, where he was credited with increasing annual revenues by an average of 15 percent during his tenure. He also served as Director of Business Development for USIS in the company’s Professional Services Division and served as Director of Business Development for the Global Security and Engineering Services Unit with L-3 Communications in Chantilly, Virginia. Mr. Venturella has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He has also completed the Harvard/MIT Executive Leadership Course at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
