Damon joined Promontory after almost a decade of experience in a variety of positions in the financial services industry in both New York and London. He worked in the Emerging Markets and International Affairs Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, serving in the financial markets and institutions function. He also worked in investment banking in the financial institutions group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and its successor Credit Suisse First Boston, where he assisted banking, insurance, and specialty finance company clients with mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Damon began his career as an Equity Research Analyst, covering banks at Caspian Securities and later at UBS. His doctoral dissertation focused on financial regulatory change in the United States and included a comparative examination of regulatory change in India.
