Ms. Bailar has spent her entire career in the health care industry. As an executive she has worked with both providers and payers, affording her a unique view of this dynamic industry. From 1998 until her retirement in 2003, she held the position of Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of Advocate Health Centers, a large, urban, multi-specialty physician group practice with multiple sites in the Chicago area. Since leaving this position in 2003, she has stayed active in the business world, working with non-profit organizations and teaching as a member of the faculty at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, from 1995-2011. Ms. Bailar’s past experiences include co-founding two healthcare consulting companies: Syer and Nottingham, a healthcare consulting firm and insurance agency; and SNI Management Associates. She was elected to the Board of Directors of Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 2006 and was elected as Board Chair in 2009.
