Judith M Davis

Judy Davis is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and its Companion companies. She is responsible for managing Companion Property and Casualty Company and Companion Life Insurance Company. In addition, she manages the legal operations, federal affairs, state public affairs, corporate communications and public relations for Blue Cross and its subsidiary companies. Prior to joining BCBSSC in 1995, she practiced law for 11 years with Lincoln National Corporation in Fort Wayne, IN where she specialized in mergers and acquisitions. Active in her community, Judy currently serves as a board member for SC Governors School of Science and Mathematics Foundation, Engenuity SC, SC Launch, United Way of the Midlands, Columbia College and Palmetto Conservation Foundation. She has previously served as chair of the United Way of the Midlands board of directors, the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and Trinity Housing Corporation of Columbia. Judy received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio Northern University and her Juris Doctor from the Ohio State University School of Law.
