Bruce Bilger

Bruce Bilger joined Lazard as a Managing Director and Chairman & Head of Global Energy effective January 2008. He also serves as Co-Head of the Southwest Investment Banking region. Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Bilger was a partner at the law firm of Vinson & Elkins, where he was Head of its 400-plus-attorney Energy Practice Group and Co-Head of its 175-plus-attorney corporate and transactional practice. During his 30 year legal career with Vinson & Elkins, Mr. Bilger’s practice consisted primarily of domestic and international business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, international infrastructure development projects, project finance and other corporate transactions, particularly in the energy industry. Mr. Bilger has handled some of the most notable and challenging energy industry transactions in recent years, including numerous $1 billion+ transactions.
